Today my task is to find two recipes for the shower, mom wants to do most of the baking tomorrow (well cookies wise, because we can freeze them). The two recipes are: Peanut Blosson Cookies and Sugar Cookies (she also wanted me to look for decorating ideas) And what website would I go to? joyofbaking.com of course! :) I found the recipes here (they have everything!) I'd thought I'd share with you the recipes, and decorating ideas!

34 weeks...6 more to go!
So time is getting close, although I still have 6 more weeks to get to the 40, the baby is officially developed at 37 weeks and can come any time after that! So if you think, only 3 more weeks until the baby is ready! So crazy soon. Time has flew by, but I must say I am excited for him to come out, still not entirely sure of what to expect so I'm not really scared yet, I just can't wait to hold the little peanut in my arms! I am so happy he will be born around Christmas time. It's my most favourite and precious time of the year, and to have his first moments be around this time is so amazingly awesome!
I hope what I have shared with you along this journey so far has maybe helped you. 2 weeks ago, I though OK this is it I've gone through everything, I've felt all the different movements, I think I'm ready- but literally week to week it's like something new happens. Right now he is getting so big that I can feel every little movement and there strong- sometimes painful (depending on what he's doing) and sometimes uncomfortable. He's active everyday- but on some days more rambunctious than others. Like yesterday for example! Holy cow! that boy moved so much, it does feel like I have a mini ninja inside me sometimes. According to the books he is about 20 inches, and weighing 5 pounds! I can definitely feel him growing everyday, and fast too!
During these last months, I would suggest when going to your OB appointments, get a little notebook and jot down ANY questions you may have, because if you don't when you get in there you will forget them. My appointments are every 2 weeks now, and shortly they will be every week when we get down to the last couple weeks.
How am I feeling these weeks? Well. I wish I could tell you I feel amazing, and look amazing with my pregnancy glow- but the truth it I feel sick most of the time, I'm always in pain because his feet get entwined with my ribs, I have an inevitable amount of pain in my spine at this point I'm ready to send him an eviction notice- but he still needs a few more weeks to develop, so I won't rush him that much!
Well anyways, that's just an update with me and the baby, thought it was about time I'd share my last weeks experience. :)

I'm dreaming of...
CHRISTMAS! Some may say it's to early, but it's never to early for Christmas! I am so excited to shop and decorate! I want everything done before the baby comes, so I better go to it early (just in case he decides to come early!) This Christmas is going to be extra special this year with my new addition, best Christmas present in the world, and really is there a more wonderful time to be introduced to the world than Christmas! Um..No.
I have been flipping through catalogues, and browsing stores to get an idea of what to get everyone, I pretty much have most of the gifts chosen...now to just come up with some funds! Here's whats going through my mind....
I mostly posted things for the baby because certain people read my blog- and they don't need to snoop! ;) On a side note, today was my last day of work! yay! so that's exciting, I am now going to really crack down and get everything ready and organized for when the baby comes, different tasks everyday- mostly packing and de-cluttering.
Well have a goodnight everyone. xo.

This teapot is adorable! I'm thinking this for my sister- I want something unique and just as smitten!
Look at these! For my little mister!
We will definitely need to find a 1st Christmas ornament- and a stocking too!
Oh my! this bird! <3 <3 <3

Halloween Re-cap
Yesterday was fun, we did end up doing more pumpkin carving, I'm not the best artist but I think my pumpkin turned out pretty cute! I made a kitty (of course) mom wanted me to. There were lots of cute costumes out there, I saw a lot of Harry Potter's, very cute. I can't wait until next Halloween because I am going to be able to dress up my little pumpkin! So excited! Trick or Treating all over again!
So today is November 1st. Usually I start my Christmas shopping today, but since I am a little out of funds, and my friends have all moved away that will just have to wait until the end of the month- BUT! I have started my shopping already, picked up just a few things a few weeks ago. I can't wait to do some real shopping though! I pretty much have in mind everything I want to get- but trying to keep a budget is going to be hard.
Anyways, before we start talking about Christmas already let's hold onto the last of the Halloween spirit, here's a few pictures from last night, and a re-cap of my fav posts for the month of October.

Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween! The day has finally arrived, I've been so pumped for Halloween all month. Unfortunately, not feeling the greatest today (not really different from any other day) But I'm gunna suck it up! No way I'm sleeping through this holiday! My mom and I were talking this morning on how there talk of changing the date of Halloween! UM HELLO, you can't just change the date of holidays that have been around for centuries, traditions year after year, definitely do NOT have my vote on that one. But onto a happier note, I have rounded together some Halloween costumes past to share, this year I will not be dressing up due to the fact I have not been ambitious enough to gather/make a costume. So I will just envy costumes past :)
Tonight We just plan on spending the evening at home, giving out candy, moms making a yummy chili dinner, we carved pumpkins last night, may do a few more today, I've already dipped into the candy this morning!!! Could not wait! I hope you all have a very fun and safe halloween :)
One of my friends posted this a few weeks ago, this is all of us, the last year we went trick or treating!
(Grade 8 I believe)
This is from last year, I was a pirate, costume from Ebay.
Me slaying sailor moon, skirt was a DIY project I did last year!
This was when I was living in Montreal, 3 years ago now.
This was 4 years ago, hard to believe! Started with Halloween at a friends house in London.
Then on actual Halloween, the girls and I went downtown for some drinks and entertainment.

A fall wedding
So as you know yesterday was Lauren's wedding. Everything was gorgeous! I think everything pretty much went as planned, no catastrophe's! Lauren looked absolutely stunning! And Mike looked quite dapper as well. The hall was done up in purple and gold, and pumpkins everywhere! Cutest thing ever! I had a lot of fun, the food was good, I got to slow dance with Phil again which is always so amazing, I love slow dancing, call me old fashioned but I think it's so romantic <3
Here's bits and pieces from the beautiful day/night!
Here's bits and pieces from the beautiful day/night!
Excuse my camera, it's goes blurry on me :( The beautiful Lauren and her Daddy walking down the isle
Gorgeous table setting, and cute pumpkin centre piece!
The thank you's were individual pumpkin pies! (LOVE!)
3 Tiered Cake, the cake topper was handmade of Lauren and Mike as scarecrows!
Homemade caramel apples!
Pumpkin centre pieces!!!
Me and Phil of course! I love his blue eyes in this picture :)
Bride and Groom cutting the cake! (Tradition of course!)
I just love this picture of the bride and groom towards the end of the night...
It was so cute, the bridal party came out to "The Monster Mash" and they all had different dance moves- it really gave a twist to start of he night. The father-daughter dance was adorable, it started off with a traditional love song, then half way through they broke out and did the Twist! So much fun! Once Lauren posts her pictures, maybe I show you guys if she lets me of nice close ups of how beautiful she looked that day!
So that concludes my Saturday this weekend. Tons of fun in a beautiful dress with a handsome boy <3
Congrats!
