Last Day Home

So I was home for a week, it was a nice little vacation, and we ended it with a beautiful day by the waterfront. The town was putting on a tea party in honor of the Queen, they had a symphony and Elton John and The Beatles Tribute bands. It was a perfect day, Noah was amazing he absolutely loves people and music- so there was no other place he would rather be. A lot of the ladies dressed up in pretty dresses and extravagant hats in honor of the day. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera card at home so I have to take the pics with my cell- so pardon the quality.

I couldn't make those pictures any bigger because they are so blurry, I am so regretting forgetting my memory card for my camera! well hope you all had a fabulous day!

Fresh Lime Salsa

This is a simple easy way to make amazing salsa- I make it every summer when I can get all of the veggies fresh and in season. Just chop all your veggies into small cubes, finely chop the fresh cilantro I usually add 3-4 tbsp. Add the juice of 1 1/2 lime- taste after 1 lime (it's really preference, the past salsa I made I added 2 for that extra lime flavor. Add a few dashes of Tabasco sauce or your favourite hot sauce for extra spice, or add none at all for a more mild salsa. Finish with Salt and Pepper to taste. Not only is it delicious, but it's low fat!

Variations:

I have used in the past fresh jalapeno instead of jarred, make sure you take the seeds out or it gets wicked hot! I also added some of the pickled juice from the jar of jalapenos for that extra tang and spice sensation.

What have I been up to?

My apologies for the lackage of posts, but I've come home to visit my family and currently staying at grammas- which means no connection to the outside world! Even my cell has horrible service.Finally I get to a computer to view the life I've been missing in blogworld. How is everyone doing? I have a few exciting posts to share with you over the next couple of days- well there exciting to me! I tried to create an outfit post- which failed because Noah was being a fuss butt, hopefully in the near future.

Those are just some shots around grammas house, she recently renovated her gazebo, turned out gorgeous (pictures above). I love staying at grammas in the summertime, it's like staying at a bed & breakfast, so beautiful with a huge yard, gorgeous garden, and rooms looking over the river. Summer's Past

It was so nice the past couple weeks, now all of a sudden we have fallen back into winter. And with the loss of the warm sunshine goes the loss of my energy- hello... I just want to cuddle back in bed! This new healthy me is going to be a challenge with such chilly weather, I am TOTALLY ready for SUMMER! I was just going through old pictures of some good times a few summer's back...

the last days of summer...

So naturally with summer coming to an end, what does everyone want to do other than soak up whats left of the sun <3 this summer went by fast, and although I spent most of my tedious days working, trapped behind unwashed windows, the short time I had off of work I always made sure they counted. Today (one of my days off) We went on a picnic.

Oh AND I forgot to tell you!! the majority of us actually packed a lunch this time, felt more like a true picnic.

All you need is love...

WOODSTOCK 1969 party!!! I absolutely love theme parties! It gives an excuse to dress up and take tons of amazing photos. This party was themed Woodstock in the 60's, there was tons of food, everyone was dressed up, and actual music footage from Woodstock! It was a blast!
