the last days of summer...

So naturally with summer coming to an end, what does everyone want to do other than soak up whats left of the sun <3 this summer went by fast, and although I spent most of my tedious days working, trapped behind unwashed windows, the short time I had off of work I always made sure they counted. Today (one of my days off) We went on a picnic.

Oh AND I forgot to tell you!! the majority of us actually packed a lunch this time, felt more like a true picnic.

Apartment Soul Searching...

So as you may or may not know, Phil and I will be moving in together this upcoming February. With a little one on the way I've started thinking of decorating ideas so we can get a head start on our future living space. Baby's room of course first on the list, then the rest of the rooms to follow. I have already started gathering pictures, and pretty mushroom canisters for the kitchen.

My ideal living space would have to fit my desires, and Phil's of course- so no over-the-top "girly"

Here are just a few ideas that have passed through my mind.

The new world on instagram...

So Mandi has been trying to get me to use Instagram for the past thousand years, and although I have had an iphone for the past 3 months, I just got around to setting it up today. AND! to come to my findings, I am loving Instagram... here's a bit of what I've taken so far.

All you need is love...

WOODSTOCK 1969 party!!! I absolutely love theme parties! It gives an excuse to dress up and take tons of amazing photos. This party was themed Woodstock in the 60's, there was tons of food, everyone was dressed up, and actual music footage from Woodstock! It was a blast!

Niagara Falls Getaway.

So last weekend, Sarah, Kenzie, Phil and I venture on a mini weekend vacation that started in Hamilton and ended in Marineland. It was so much fun! besides the minor morning sickness and the aches and pains from walking so much, we had a blast! Sarah and Kenzie went to the BSB and NKOTB concert in Hamilton, while me and Phil had a relaxing night in the amazing hotel we stayed at (Beds were like sleeping on a cloud). The next morning we ventured to Niagara Falls, where we went on the Maid of the Mist, went on a lot of tours around the falls, a few museums and tons of amazing restaurants! I highly recommend you all take a mini getaway it's so rejuvenating to to see a different scenery for once!

new locks...

So today I'm so excited! Mandi and I are getting feather extensions put in! I've been eyeing them on line for months now, but haven't been able to buy them they are a little costly. However, we found a few places in town that has them and will install them! (which is probably best) They are $10.00 per feather installed, which is a lot, so I think I'm only going to get 4 done. But I've heard you can straighten them and curl them as you would your own hair, which seems pretty awesome. I will definitely let you know how they turn out.

It's a BOY!

So I know it's been a while and I've been meaning to blog about this post! well me and Phil are having a baby boy! I really wanted a girl, but in my heart I am so excited that it's a boy! Now I just have to find the right stores to shop :) Here are a few of the ultrasound pics. Which the doctor said my baby was posing for all of the pictures...mommy's little model already <3
