updates from a small point of view

So as the weeks go on Noah is growing more and more, it's so insane, he will be six months in a week and a half. I can't believe that time has gone so quickly. As for the milestones, he has maybe rolled over once, he is NOT a fan of his belly, he is eating baby food now- his favourite, squash, extremely sturdy and strong he can almost sit and stand on his own, once he can sit I'm positive standing won't come long after. The way things are going I think he may skip crawling all together and just walk, but we shall see. His favourite toy currently is a slinky- fascinated. Screaming the sound that comes out of this bundle of joy, I assume he loves to hear his voice. I think that's all for now, we shall see if anything changes in 2 weeks! well hope everyone had a happy weekend :)

The Calm Before The Storm...

So finally the sun shines today, Noah and I have been couped up in this little apartment for a week and a half due to an insane amount of rain. Finally, we get excited to journey to the park...not even 10 mins after arriving we here thundering. Well that ends our fun day out. sigh. perhaps tomorrow, luckily I was able to capture a couple outfit shots, I was just going for something comfortable, and somewhat casual- however! I have all this punk style jewelry I was dieing to pair an outfit with... you are never to under dressed for jewels.

Butterfly Conservatory

Yesterday we went to the butterfly conservatory in Cambridge, it was really fun, they let the butterflies roam freely in an inside tropical garden, and there's little snow birds that are through out as well. I think Noah really enjoyed it, he loves animals so much and it was so beautiful in there. Phil on the other hand was antsy to get outside, his beloved air show was going on so he was none the less impatient.

What did you do this past weekend?

Mexican Night!

So this past weekend I decided to host my first (small) dinner party- the theme, MEXICAN! um delish? yes. So I went all out and made 3 different dips, Mexican Lime Salsa, Guacamole, and 6 layer dip. I think they all turned out pretty well, considering I made 2 of them for the first time, and the salsa recipe can be found here. We had yummy margaritas, and an unlimited supply of tacos adding onto my delicious dips. Of course I will show you the recipes, below. :)

Soften cream cheese and spread evenly on a pizza pan. Add the salsa, spread evenly amongst the cream cheese. Add all veggies- evenly! so every bite get a mix of everything! chill for a half hour- server with corn chips- enjoy!

Take a chip and DIP!!!

Cut avocados in half and scoop out contents. Add all ingredients together, add as much salt and pepper as dsired. After everything is well mixed together refrigerate for half hour so ingredients combine then serve!! (I served with corn chips)

All and all I think the night went well, Noah behaved, the food was great, and the company even better!! Have you had any gatherings recently? I would love to here you ideas or any new exciting recipes to share!

What themed dinner party will I do next? Hmmm....

Happy Monday :)
