Last Day Of September.

I feel like this month flew by. Although, I feel this month always does, there's all the excitement of back to school, then my birthday, and quite a few friends birthdays as well. It pretty much rained here the entire month of September, which is completely disappointing. As much as I love Autumn, I was hoping on soaking up this last month of warmth and sunshine- unfortunately, it's been way cold and gloomy. Here are some pictures I took today when the sun came out for a total of an hour. Goodbye September...

Little Outfits

I recommend you all read one of my favourite blogs, bleubird, she has the most Divine little family! I got this post idea from her, she always talks about gilt.com- UMM HELLO!!!! You guys need to check out this website for sure! They have designer labels at discount prices! AND! the baby stuff? To KILL for <3 So my first experience with gilt.com I found these little outfits that I'm completely obsessed with.

1. Marie Chantal, Fair Island Cardigan: This little cardigan would look absolutely adorable, and keep those cold winter days at ease. Was: ~~$104.00~~ Now: $45.00

2. Marie Chantal, Classic Coat: This coat I am completely obsessed with! I have not stopped thinking about it since I found it online last week. It makes me so happy, and I know my sweet little boy would look stunning! Was: ~~$200.00~~ Now: $85.00

3. Jacadi, Baobab Bootie: Now, Phil is quite partial to this item, but me with the fringe fell head over heels! It's definitely a MUST HAVE on my list! Was: ~~$40.00~~ Now: $20.00

4. Jacadi, Manfredo Pant: These I figure would go with any classic outfit, I consider them almost as a staple in his wardrobe collection. Was: ~~$72.00~~ Now: $36.00

Even though these clothes are selling for an amazing discount, I simply cannot afford them right now, me and Phil have really cracked down, and I made my life budget- so I'm currently in the saving process until my little one is born. But, the old me would have swooped these up no matter how much debt I was in. So this is a leap for me.

Birthday cake

Rainbow Chip Birthday Cake. A special request made by me to mom for my birthday, with marshmallow icing... oh my this cake was heavenly! To be quite honest, I think I ate most of it... On a side note, I have been dieing to share the icing recipe with you, it's so delish <3 however, I've lost it. Sorry. But if I ever find it I will definitely post to let you all have a try. Zombie Attacks?

So, the weirdest thing happened today. I was running late for work (as usual) I was stopped at a light and noticed a group of people from a distance wearing cut up clothes, I couldn't see there faces, I just remember thinking what has fashion come to? As I drove on, I saw a Zombie, she was standing alone, blood dripping down her face, pale white skin and a long torn lavender dress. I immediately got excited because I though our Small Town was actually having a Zombie walk! which Windsor does every year and I was hoping to join in this year. To my dismay, as I kept driving I noticed the whole right lane was blocked all the way from Aburg to Lasalle- that's a 15 minute drive, and of course the people in front of me decided to do 40 under the speed limit the entire way. Anyways, the right lane was blocked off for a 15k run- with normal people- no Zombies.

So I can only think to myself... why would there have been a cluster of zombies on my way to work. Halloween is still a while away. That just left me baffled. I had to share that story with all of you, and maybe someone can tell me what the zombies purpose was?

Autumn

So the first day of Autumn was yesterday. As soon as the fall comes all I can think about is gorgeous tree changing colours, leaves crunching under my feet, the smell of pumpkin pie and cinnamon, and let's not forget on of the favourite holidays...Halloween <3 I must say Autumn is my favourite season it's the most beautiful and comforting too me. I have lot's of plans before the winter comes, and I hope to make the most of what left of the mild weather and sunny days. I just wanted to all leave you with one thought....

Fave iPhone Apps

While spending countless hours at work, what do I do on a slow day to kill my boredom? Take out my iphone of course (which I just use as an ipod) Here are my top fav games/apps that I play almost every day.

1. Sneezies. A game I find myself spending countless hours on. Grab a cup of tea, relax on your favorite beanbag, and enjoy the soothing, melodic gameplay and fantastic graphics in iPhone’s most addictive, casual viral game, Sneezies - an overload of cuteness!

2. Angry Birds. A popular game which I'm sure you all have heard of. In the game, players use a slingshot to launch birds at pigs stationed on or within various structures, with the intent of destroying all the pigs on the playfield.

3. Instagram. An application for a bloggers life. Snap a photo with your iPhone, choose a filter to transform the look and feel, send to Facebook, Twitter or Flickr – it’s all as easy as pie. It’s photo sharing, reinvented.

4. Etsy Addict. Discover all the handcrafted goodness on sale at Etsy with this handy iPhone App! Etsy Addict gives you a quick and efficient way to access Etsy.

So while browsing the web for baby furniture, I came across this divine store that I'm sure you all heard of Asos.com. They have an entire section devoted to maternity clothes. It's my first time ordering from the UK, so I only purchased 1 item to make sure everything came through OK. I will let you know how things go when I receive it!

Etsy Inspires

SO lately I've been thinking about decor ideas, for the new home, and especially the baby's room. Phil probably thinks I'm crazy. But I've never been on my own before, and I've never taken care of anything that was completely my responsibility before, so needless to say I'm overly excited.

On the days (and believe me- there are a lot) when my brain is starving for some insight at work, boredom kicks in and I need something to inspire me to keep my spirits high online shopping comes into play. Thankfully, reading my daily blog reads afterwards gave me some great ideas for some DIY projects- rather than spending a fortune on things I don't need. So here's what I came up with.

This idea came from Etsy naturally, while I was obsessing over some safari name blocks, I though to my self... hello! I can make this! AND it would be all the more special. Should be a fun project, now just have to find the time....

Next, which I have been planning on doing this since I found out about my little one, sewing a quilt- of course with the help from my loyal sewing guru- Mandi. Since the theme of his room I safari I was thinking of doing something with giraffes in green and orange, and maybe personalizing it with his name. I think that would be just darling <3

Shopping Spree (Birthday Edition) Forever21

So I'm so thankful my mom, dad and my sisters pitched in and bought me a ton of prepaid VISA cards to online heaven <3 First we start our tour with my purchases from Forever21 (which I received today)

Of course, I was a bit worried about how everything will fit because I have gained some belly (I am almost 7 months pregnant) But, so far everything fits perfectly! <3
